Falling Away From the Old Paths

II Thess. 2:3

II Thess. 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (v. 2 day of Christ, Rapture) shall not come, except there come a falling away first ..."

We are certainly living  the days of a Great "Falling Away" from the "Old Paths" of Bible Christianity.  Worldliness, Immodesty, No burden for witnessing to sinners, lack of Missions Giving, disregard for Remembering the Lord's Day, Divorce, and no personal walk with the Lord abounds in this day which we live.  There sure seems to be a greater desire amongst God's People for money, success and worldly pleasures than a close walk with the Saviour.  The days of the Laodicean church (Rev 3:14-22) is surly upon us.

We are in desperate need of the Holy Ghost Revival in our time.  we need a Revival of Love for God, His Book, and His Service.  We probably need a Revival of our love for our mates, children and brothers and sisters in Christ.

It seems rather obvious in America that the "salt hast lost its Savor."  Nakedness, Immorality, Sodomy, the Breakdown of the Family, vile speech are the "Norm" in the once great "Christian Nation," And accepted as such by the majority.  God help us not be caught up in the Flood of Wickedness and Compromise in these last days.  I Tim. 6:12 exhorts us to , "Fight the Good fight of faith ..."

At Old Paths Baptist Church we are looking for sinners to the Old Old Story of Jesus and His Love.  We're also looking for some saints who desire the "Old Paths" of Bible Christianity; Godly Homes led by godly parents who believe in Holy Living, Bible training for their children, and godly Christian Service for the King of King and Lord of Lords.
