Seven Things We Christians Cannot Live Without

1. Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him..."

   We Christians are supposed to live our lives by FAITH.  Gal. 3:11, Prov. 3:5,6.  As we travel life's rough roads we need to learn to trust the Lord, Put our confidence in His Word.

   There's some Christians today who think the worse thing in life is to Trust God with their life.  Wrong!  If we "lose our life, we'll find it" in the Blessed Will of God!

    

2. James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

   A poet wrote:

   "And without works our faith is dead!

   This Truth we must receive

   And live an honest, upright life

   To Show that we believe."

   Eph. 2:8&9 is well known and quoted, but we must emphasize v. 10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

   The preacher once said, "Pray like everything depends on God and Work like everything depends on you."

    

3. Heb 9:22 "... Without shedding of blood is no remission."

   "what can wash away my sins, Nothing but the blood of Jesus!"

    

4. Heb. 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."

   How does this present World 'see' the Lord?  It should be through the godly, separated, holy lives of God's children!  I Peter 1:13-16 "As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But As He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am Holy."

    

5. I Cor. 13:1-3 "... have not charity, it profiteth me nothing."

   We Christians need the Love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Rom. 5:5) so that we'll Love God with all our hearts and souls and minds.  Se we'll love and obey His Word, Love our Mates, our children, our church, our brethren and a lost and dying world.  And love them so that we'll do right.

    

6. Heb 12:8 "... if ye be without Chastisement ...:

   The trust is God only chastises His own children.  And we certainly Need correction from the Lord.  One of the "Birthmarks" of a Christian is the Lord's chastisement.

    

7. John 15:5 "Without me ye can do Nothing"

   The Christian life we live is supposed to be about Him!  He should be our First Love!  Our purpose for living should be to please Him because of who He is and what He's done for us.  We must abide with Him if we're to live fruitful lives!
