Ask for the Old Paths

Jeremiah was preaching to a people that had turned away from God and were heading towards his Judgment of their sin.  The anointed Man of God searched for a faithful man in Jerusalem and could find none.  With a burdened and broken heart the Prophet calls the people of God to turn from their sin, and "...ask for the old paths...", but sadly, vs. 16 of chapter six ends with the Jews rejection of the Lord's Plea for them.

At Old Paths it our prayer that we could seek the "Old Paths" of the Word of God in the midst of the Laodicean Church Age.

The great country that we are privileged to live in was founded and built by Christian families.  Christian Families overcame danger, disease and deprivation to build the first community at Plymouth, Massachusetts.  Pioneer Christian families heeded the call to "Go West," successfully extending the U.S. territory.  Christian Farmers, Inventors, Industrialists and Patriots, as families, became the backbone of America.  And it was primarily through those families, America became a God fearing and God blessed nation.

We at Old Paths Baptist Church believe we need to return to the "Old Paths" of God's Plan for marriage and families.  If we are ever to have a strong godly church we must have strong godly families.  Families who resist the allurements of a modern godless philosophy and unashamedly embrace the "Old Paths" of God's precious Word.

Bro. Lester Roloff said "If your home is out of Biblical Order, you'll lose your Bible Blessings."

We as God's People, in this age we live, which is fast approaching The Judgment of God, need to "Ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk there in..."
