Poetry for the Soulby Christian Aider September 2010 First-fruits of a Tuesday MorningLord Jesus, all I could or ever will be Will never exceed what You did upon the tree. The price was paid, my sin forgiven, And now I have a home in Heaven. Upon death hell’s no longer my destination, Christ’s blessed hope is my daily consolation. The word of God brings comfort and direction To Christ’s blood-bought saints in His election. But God is “not willing that any should perish But that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9b) For Jesus died for you, me, and the entire world. (John 3:16) So sinner, today, now, let go of your sins and choose Christ, To receive the precious gift of eternal life. Psalms 115:1 “Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth’s sake.” (KJV – AV 1611, of course)
